Abnormal loads

Down the years, DDM Transport has built up a specialisation in the transport of abnormal loads. Due to the experience and expertise of our planning team and our crew of drivers, no load is too high, too wide, too long or too heavy. Thanks to our modern fleet of vehicles, nothing is beyond us. 

Our solutions are not restricted to transport along the road. Thanks to our experience on all-round projects, we have built up a network of partners in the maritime and air freight businesses. These partnerships, along with our own extensive array of modern equipment, invariably enable us to find the right solution for your transportation needs.

To this end, we possess all the necessary certificates and exemptions for both the Netherlands and abroad. What's more, our crew has an extensive know-how of all the statutory regulations that apply.

Transportation of heavy plant

DDM also transports machinery varying from generators and cherry-pickers to heavy lifting-gear and cranes. Our range of equipment includes semi-low-loaders with ramps, to 3 bed 5 Euro low-loaders. Of course, the specialist nature of this work means we make sure that our drivers have all the right training and qualifications.

Truck-mounted cranes

In addition, we have several vehicles with truck-mounted cranes varying from 15 to 85 tons/metre. These vehicles facilitate the loading and unloading of units, machines, building materials, etc. Because they are approved as cranes with a lifting function and their drivers possess operating certificates for truck-mounted cranes, we can also be called upon to do all types of lifting work.

In partnership with our (dis)assembly team, these vehicles can be ideally deployed for industrial relocation and assembly work.

Scrap transport

For the transportation of metals and scrap, DDM has several well-equipped waste-carriers and container trucks.

Covered transport

Through efficient and effective planning, we are able to meet your transportation needs in the best possible way, for example, by transporting your goods in our fleet of tautliner trucks.

Our multi-functional curtain-sided trailer combinations are all fitted with sliding tarpaulins and roofs and a system of integrated retaining straps in conformity with stringent German standards.
