Zwatra Transport BV takes over activities DDM TRANSPORT BV
The company Zwatra Transport BV in Delft, The Netherlands, has taken over the heavy transport activities of business unit DDM TRANSPORT BV in De Meern, The Netherlands.
The acquisition by Zwatra concerns 21 trucks and 30 trailers.
All 25 employees of DDM TRANSPORT BV will go to Zwatra. Zwatra is in need of up scaling there business activities. The activities of DDM TRANSPORT BV are similar to and fit perfectly with the activities of Zwatra in terms of fleet, customer group and location. As a result of this acquisition, Zwatra acquires a second location in the centre of The Netherlands, in addition to its own branch in Delft.
DDM can now fully focus on its core activities. DDM is a specialist in dismantling and relocating complete factories, including the removal of asbestos and contaminated materials.
The main office of the DDM group is in De Meern, The Netherlands. There are also branches in Den Helder (The Netherlands), Germany, Belgium, France and Asia. DDM is an internationally active group with about 200 employees.
DDM focuses on the petrochemical, offshore, power plant, automotive and (civil) industry. DDM runs projects around the world whereby the size can vary from a couple of days to several years. In this market, DDM is part of the top 10 companies in Europe and of the top 50 in the world.
Zwatra is a specialized company in heavy transport with many years of experience. With a large fleet and experienced employees, Zwatra provides large range of heavy transport for a diverse group of clients in various sectors, including petrochemical, offshore, construction and cable companies.
Zwatra is founded in 1945.
After the acquisition, Zwatra will have a total of 65 trucks, over 100 trailers and approximately 100 employees. Zwatra is a participation of the investment company Antea Participations in The Hague The Netherlands.
